Business Expansion Young Entrepreneurs

     Our Economic Development Officers will work closely with you to help expand and maintain your business. This might include anything from management consulting to human resource development to helping you find a location for your expanded business. We will guide you through the various government programs and services, from funding to exporting support, to help your business grow.

     Business training for your needs is identified for you. Most levels of training are available from
Profitlearn.com or through our local CBDC office.

    
The Business Development Program – This ACOA program is designed to help you set up, expand or modernize your business. Focusing on small- and medium-sized enterprises, the program offers access to capital in the form of interest-free, unsecured, repayable contributions. Non-profit organizations providing support to the business community may also qualify. Most business sectors are eligible except retail/wholesale, real estate, government services, and services of a personal or social nature.

    
Business Loan Program -  This Community Business Development Corporation program provides Term loan financing up to $150,000 is available to individuals and businesses with viable projects that are not able to access loans via traditional lending sources or Government agencies.  Any individual(s) seeking to start or purchase an existing business can apply for a loan. Business Development Bank of Canada -  offers financing possibilities including Working capital: to supplement an existing line of credit; Acquiring fixed assets; Marketing / Start-up Fees; Buying a franchise.

Financing possibilities

*  Construction of new premises;
*  Expansion of existing premises;
*  Replenish working capital depleted by current construction costs;
*  Consulting services.

Term financing
Flexible term financing for a variety of commercially viable projects, including expansion projects, plant overhauls, the purchase of existing businesses and the acquisition of fixed assets. In some cases, financing may be used to reconstitute working capital depleted by capital expenditures or to finance sales growth.

Tourism investment fund
The fund helps finance high-end existing tourism operators, or start-ups in viable destinations. It is designed specifically to finance single season tourism infrastructures or operations that have the potential to expand beyond a single season.
